It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Port Charlotte can now relate to. They fell just short of the Cypress Lake Panthers by a score of 4-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Panthers since February 22, 2023.

Port Charlotte has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Cypress Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15.
