Baseball Recap: Berkshire Takes a Loss

Berkshire lost against West Geauga back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Badgers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. That's two games in a row now that the Badgers have lost by exactly four runs.

Patrick Brancel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Berkshire and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for West Geauga, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkshire will take on Rootstown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Geauga, they will welcome Kirtland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
