Recap: Valley Christian Lions vs. Cristo Rey Saints
In what's become a running theme this season, the Valley Christian Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Cristo Rey for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-9 win at home. The victory was nothing new for Valley Christian as they're now sitting on four straight.
Valley Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matthew Larson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Ian Glaspy was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine assists and seven rebounds.
Valley Christian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.0 points per game. As for Cristo Rey, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Coincidentally, Valley Christian and Cristo Rey will both be playing Faith Christian the next time they take the court. Cristo Rey will host Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Valley Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
