Basketball Recap: Weaver Comes Up Short

Weaver and Piedmont squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Weaver had to settle for second. They lost 80-57 to the Piedmont Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Weaver's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Piedmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Weaver does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Piedmont will need to watch out since Geraldine has now posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games.
