Tipton skates past Sweet Springs with ease

The Tipton Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to Sweet Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-40 victory at home. That looming 75-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tipton yet this season.

Zach Moon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lucas Cashman, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Tipton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Sweet Springs, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tipton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Lexington is on a three-game streak of home wins, Tipton a four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Sweet Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Grove is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
