Dickson and Lone Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Dickson Comets will square off against the Lone Grove Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Dickson was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to Kingston. The Comets have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Lone Grove came up short against Sulphur on Tuesday, falling 71-49.

Dickson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Lone Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Dickson was able to grind out a solid victory over Lone Grove when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 66-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dickson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
