Lancaster barely beat Reynoldsburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Gales' pitchers stepped up to hand the Raiders a 12-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Golden Gales have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lancaster pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Reynoldsburg, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Lancaster will venture away from home to face off against Olentangy Liberty at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Gales 1.4, the Patriots 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Reynoldsburg, they will host Newark at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
