Basketball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

Waverly suffered their biggest loss since January 23rd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lyndon Tigers, falling 60-34. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Waverly and nudges their season record down to 9-9. As for Lyndon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coming up, Waverly will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mission Valley at 6:00 p.m. As for Lyndon, they are taking a road trip to challenge Madison on Friday. Madison's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Lyndon's offense will have their work cut out for them.
