After a string of three wins, Cooper City's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They and the Somerset Academy Panthers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Cowboys suffered a 7-6 loss. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Cooper City's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Camila Navarrete and Ariana Vazquez, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Cooper City's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Somerset Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Cooper City will welcome Archbishop McCarthy at 5:45 p.m. on the 9th. As for Somerset Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-0 defeat against Mater Lakes Academy on the 3rd.
