Softball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Mills Vikings

The Gunn Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Mills Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gunn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Gunn managed to slip by Mountain View the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Titans came up short against the Spartans last Thursday, falling 7-0.

Gunn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tess Bogart, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Mills came up short against Capuchino on Friday and fell 11-7. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bailey Beauchemin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Gabby Moreno also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for Gunn, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Gunn skirted past Mills 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
