Soccer Recap: Richmond Victorious

Richmond hadn't done well against Torrey Pines recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Richmond Oilers had just enough and edged the Torrey Pines Falcons out 3-2. This was payback for the Oilers, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Richmond now has a winning record of 2-1-2. As for Torrey Pines, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Richmond will finish 2024 at home by hosting Montclair at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for Torrey Pines, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on University City at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
