Volleyball Recap: El Dorado Springs Takes a Loss

El Dorado Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountaineers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

El Dorado Springs started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-15.

Kalen Post paced El Dorado Springs' offense, picking up 15 kills. Post got some help from Maddix Robison and her 30 assists. Allie Thompson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

El Dorado Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-3-2. As for Mt. Vernon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2-1.

Coming up, El Dorado Springs will welcome Appleton City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Vernon, they are taking a road trip to challenge Clever at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
