Bishop Ready extended the longest winning streak in Central Catholic - Gold this week by beating Bexley, 64-13. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Silver Knights.
Bishop Hartley took down Ironton 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sam MacKowiak ran for 139 yards in the win.
The Hawks' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jared Brandewie threw for 38 and 1 touchdown and Jacob Mercier had 38 yards receiving. On the ground MacKowiak chipped in 139 yards.
MacKowiak was a passing and rushing force as Bishop Hartley defeated the Fighting Tigers. MacKowiak's key target this week was Mercier, who caught 2 passes for 38 yards.
Mercier was the best wideout in the league this week as Brad Burchfield's team beat Ironton.
Bishop Hartley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brandewie has thrown for 927 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Mercier has 22 catches for 554 yards.
Bishop Ready led the league in scoring this week after putting up 64 points on the Lions.
