Tabernacle Christian takes loss despite strong efforts from Annie Sichting and Liz Southerland

It was a good run, but the Tabernacle Christian Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. Their rough 57-35 loss to Crosspointe Christian Academy might stick with them for a while. Tabernacle Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Crosspointe Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Tabernacle Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Liz Southerland, who scored 22 points, and Annie Sichting who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That was a full 37.1% of Tabernacle Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Tabernacle Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Tabernacle Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Mooresville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mooresville Christian is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Colonial Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Colonial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
