Gateway Charter lost against Estero back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gateway Charter lost 10-2 to Estero. The Griffins just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.
Brandon Lackwood put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Gateway Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Estero, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

As for Estero, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
