Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River View). Their defense stepped up to hand the Coshocton Redskins an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. With that victory, River View brought their scoring average up to 3 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Coshocton from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Cameron Murphy led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

River View's win bumped their record up to 2-0-4. As for Coshocton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, River View will be playing in front of their home fans against John Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Glenn will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something River View surely won't give up without a fight. As for Coshocton, they are taking a road trip to face off against Washington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Washington's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
