Baseball Recap: Little Miami Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

After losing to Anderson the last time they met, Little Miami decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers walked away with an 8-4 win over the Raptors on Friday. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly four runs.

Little Miami got a great performance from Cam Fox as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Lucas Basta was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Sukup, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Little Miami is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Little Miami will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raptors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
