Basketball Game Preview: Atwater Falcons vs. Antelope Titans

The Atwater Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Antelope Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Atwater is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since December 4, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Buhach Colony out 46-43. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Thunder are ranked 761st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kennedy typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Antelope proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 56-52 victory over the Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Antelope's win came from a few key players Atwater will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Malichai Brown, who posted 17 points and five boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Quentin Mitchell was another key player, putting up six points and 18 rebounds.

Antelope's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Atwater, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.
