Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Clements Takes a Loss

Fort Bend Clements was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings, falling 56-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 58-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Sai Sai Stewart continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fort Bend Dulles, putting up 29 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Stewart has scored at least a third of Fort Bend Dulles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gissele Reyes, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Fort Bend Clements' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Fort Bend Dulles, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

Fort Bend Clements and Fort Bend Dulles could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Fort Bend Clements (ranked 1182nd) will meet Fort Bend Austin (ranked 186th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fort Bend Dulles (ranked 981st) will meet Fort Bend Hightower (ranked 69th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
