Basketball Game Preview: Red Mesa Redskins vs. Rock Point Cougars

Red Mesa hasn't had much luck against Rock Point recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Mesa Redskins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rock Point Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Red Mesa will be strutting in after a win while Rock Point will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Red Mesa turned things around against Fredonia on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lynx 57-27. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rock Point duked it out withDishchii'bikoh on Tuesday. Rock Point lost 76-54 to Dishchii'bikoh. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Rock Point's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Red Mesa, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Red Mesa couldn't quite finish off Rock Point in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 56-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rock Point's Ryer James, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds.
