Volleyball Game Preview: Munster Mustangs vs. Zionsville Eagles

The Munster Mustangs will head out to take on the Zionsville Eagles at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Munster will be strutting in after a win while Zionsville will be coming in after a loss.

Munster barely beat Hammond Bishop Noll the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Munster never let Hammond Bishop Noll on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Zionsville faced Hamilton Southeastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles came up short against the Royals, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

While Zionsville ultimately came up short, they really made Hamilton Southeastern work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-18, 25-20.

With the defeat, Zionsville broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3. As for Munster, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
