Recap: Perry Commodores vs. Lima Senior Spartans
The Perry Commodores lost to the Lima Senior Spartans back in December of 2022, but the Perry Commodores didn't allow the Lima Senior Spartans the same satisfaction on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for Perry in a 56-39 victory over Lima Senior. The win made it back-to-back wins for Perry.
It was another big night for Lexenna Lee, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Zyasija Scott was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Perry's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.67 points. As for Lima Senior, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Perry will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Upper Scioto Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Lima Senior, they will head out on the road to face off against Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Findlay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lima Senior in Ohio (Findlay is ranked 153rd, while Lima Senior is ranked 474th).
