Puyallup is 9-0-1 against South Kitsap since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against Wolves at 7:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Puyallup is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Sumner, who was ranked 21st at the time (Puyallup was ranked first). The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Spartans 3-2 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for Puyallup as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meanwhile, South Kitsap hadn't done well against Bethel recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Wolves beat the Bison by a goal, winning 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for South Kitsap as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Puyallup's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0-1. As for South Kitsap, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Everything went Puyallup's way against South Kitsap in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Puyallup made off with a 5-0 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
