Basketball Game Preview: Spencer County Bears vs. Lewis County Lions

The Spencer County Bears will take on the Lewis County Lions in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Spencer County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 86-38 win over Western. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Lewis County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Cougars out 49-47.

Spencer County pushed their record up to 3-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Lewis County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.
