Football Recap: Lynn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lynn was the 46-8 winner over Marion County when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders on Friday.

Marion County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiptyn Adkins led the charge by rushing for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also picking up 77 receiving yards and two scores. Adkins also punched in two rushing touchdowns, marking his first of the season. Ace Tankersley was another key player, gaining 205 total yards.

Lynn's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Marion County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Lynn will host Hubbertville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Marion County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sumiton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
