Basketball Recap: Shafter Takes a Loss

Shafter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-39 loss at the hands of the North Stars. The game marked the Generals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Shafter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for North, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shafter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Delano at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for North, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Porterville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
