Basketball Game Preview: Elder Panthers vs. Turpin Spartans + How To Watch

The Elder Panthers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Turpin Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Elder is leaving town to face Turpin after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Panthers took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northridge on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Turpin had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 win over Ross on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

Elder beat Turpin 46-37 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
