Basketball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United and Steele squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but United had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 67-52 to the Steele Knights. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Knights are ranked 26th).

United's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Steele, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 30-5.

United does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Steele, they will square off against Harlingen on Friday. Steele knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 31 games -- so hopefully Harlingen likes a good challenge.
