Basketball Recap: Socorro Warriors vs. Tularosa Wildcats
Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 56-42 fall against the Tularosa Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 62-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.
Despite the loss, Socorro still got an impressive performance from Jazmine Alvarado, who posted 22 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Crespin, who had 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals.
Socorro's record is now 0-16. As for Tularosa, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season.
