Baseball Recap: East Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

East Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Providence Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 on Tuesday.

East Mecklenburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Golden, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

East Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Providence, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither East Mecklenburg nor Providence have any future games scheduled.
