Softball Recap: Enfield Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Enfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Tolland, sneaking past 5-3. This was payback for Enfield, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Paige Cekala, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. Aaliyah Tousignant also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Enfield's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Tolland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enfield will venture away from home to challenge Maloney at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Tolland, they will head out to take on Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
