Basketball Game Preview: Big Spring Steers vs. Lake View Chiefs

The Big Spring Steers will square off against the Lake View Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake View took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Big Spring, who comes in off a win.

Big Spring is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 64-49 victory over Wink on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Steers.

Meanwhile, Lake View suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Odessa, falling 68-46. The Chiefs have struggled against the Bronchos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lake View's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11. As for Big Spring, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Big Spring was dealt a bruising 77-34 loss at the hands of Lake View in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Big Spring was down 34-9.
