Preview: Sandusky Blue Streaks vs. Bowsher BlueRacers
The Sandusky Blue Streaks will head out on the road to face off against the Bowsher BlueRacers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sandusky focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
Even though Mansfield Senior scored an imposing 61 points, Sandusky still came out on top. Sandusky walked away with a 70-61 victory over Mansfield Senior. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sandusky.
Sandusky can attribute much of their success to Jason Henlon, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. Amir Aaron was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Bowsher's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 82-55 loss at the hands of Reynoldsburg. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Sandusky pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Bowsher, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Sandusky strolled past Bowsher in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 80-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sandusky since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
