Baseball Game Preview: Monument Valley Mustangs vs. Pinon Eagles

Monument Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Pinon since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Monument Valley Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Pinon Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Monument Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Monument Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 20-5 to Page on Wednesday.

Monument Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roque Todacheene, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that Todacheene got this season.

Meanwhile, Pinon fell victim to Chinle and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Monument Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pinon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Monument Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Pinon in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 11-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monument Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
