Douglas came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cholla Chargers a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Douglas' win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Cholla, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Douglas will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
