Urbana has gone 6-1 against Richwoods recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will challenge the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tolono Unity hit Urbana with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 10-0 to the Rockets. The Tigers have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Lizzy Lange spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and six unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

Meanwhile, Richwoods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Morton.

Addison Morrissey put in work while hitting and pitching. She pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Morrissey wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cici Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Richwoods' defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Urbana, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-13.

Urbana beat Richwoods 15-10 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
