Baseball Recap: Turpin Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

It was a proper cat-fight when Turpin challenged Union City on Thursday. The Turpin Cardinals blew past the Union City Tigers 15-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Riley Fowler and Carson Peters did most of the damage at the plate: Fowler scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Peters scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Max Garza was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Turpin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union City only posted an OBP of .333.

Turpin pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
