Softball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against the Westfield Blue Devils, falling 13-3. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Dayton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Brearley on the 25th. As for Westfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-9 win against Cranford on the 25th.
