Softball Recap: Yorktown Comes Up Short

Yorktown came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-4 to the Woodsboro Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Sydnie Krueger was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Yorktown's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Woodsboro, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Yorktown is set to face off against their familiar foe Port Aransas at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Woodsboro will square off against rival Refugio at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
