Basketball Game Preview: Freehold Boro Colonials vs. Monmouth Regional Falcons

The Freehold Boro Colonials will head out to square off against the Monmouth Regional Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monmouth Regional took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Freehold Boro, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Freehold Boro humbled Asbury Park with a 78-40 victory. Given the Colonials' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Bishops are ranked 427th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Monmouth Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 58-35 to Point Pleasant Beach.

Freehold Boro is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Monmouth Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
