Football Recap: Thornwood Takes a Loss

Thornwood extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were outmatched by the Kankakee Kays and fell 31-0. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Kays are ranked 39th).

As for Kankakee, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games.
