Softball Recap: Moultonborough Academy Beats Lin-Wood for Their Third Straight Victory

Moultonborough Academy won against Colebrook Academy on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with a 7-4 win over the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Madison Hart was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Sammy Nagle and Evelynn Buy did most of the damage at the plate: Nagle went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Buy went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Buy a new career-high. Lauren Grinavic was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Moultonborough Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Lin-Wood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
