Basketball Recap: Braxton Gary's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Camden-Frontier over North Adams-Jerome

Camden-Frontier came up into this matchup off a tough 32-point defeat last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the North Adams-Jerome Rams by a score of 47-44 on Friday. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Redskins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braxton Gary, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points and five steals. Camden-Frontier is 3-1 when Gary posts five or more steals, but 4-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Conroy, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Camden-Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for North Adams-Jerome, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Camden-Frontier will take on Reading in a tournament on Monday. Camden-Frontier is facing Reading at the right time seeing as Reading is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Adams-Jerome, they will challenge Jackson Preparatory & Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
