Basketball Game Preview: Poteau Pirates vs. Heavener Wolves

The Poteau Pirates will face off against the Heavener Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Poteau is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Poteau ended up a good deal behind Eufaula and lost 53-37.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heavener). They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over Wilburton on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Heavener's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Poteau, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
