Soccer Game Preview: Paris vs. Lindale

The Paris Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Lindale Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Paris duked it out with Mount Vernon on Thursday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 13-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Paris in their matchups with Mount Vernon: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Lindale was forced to settle for a draw. They and Kilgore finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Lindale's draw gives them a new season record of 4-1-1. As for Paris, they now have a winning record of 2-1-3.

Paris suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Lindale in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
