Basketball Recap: Elton Takes a Loss

Elton lost against Hamilton Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elton Indians were dealt a 64-31 defeat at the hands of the Hamilton Christian Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Warriors are ranked 79th).

Elton has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-20 record this season. As for Hamilton Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Elton will head out to face off against Grand Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Merryville at 6:00 p.m. Hamilton Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Merryville likes a good challenge.
