Volleyball Recap: Fredericktown Comes Up Short

If Fredericktown was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Danville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Freddies fell 3-1 to the North Union Wildcats on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Freddies in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

While Fredericktown ultimately came up short, they really made North Union work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 28-26.

Ella Bouton paced Fredericktown's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bouton got some help from Kallan Tilton and her 35 assists.

Fredericktown's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Union, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Fredericktown has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Northmor on the 26th. As for North Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Graham Local on the 2nd.
