Basketball Recap: Kylie Shreve's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ridgemont over Mt. Gilead

Ridgemont lost against Mt. Gilead back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Ridgemont Golden Gophers came up short against the Mt. Gilead Indians, falling 60-36. The Golden Gophers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Ridgemont lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kylie Shreve, who posted 18 points. What's more, Shreve also posted a 33% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lauren Wingfield, who earned five points and ten boards.

Ridgemont's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mt. Gilead, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Ridgemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-27 defeat against North Baltimore on the 6th. As for Mt. Gilead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-9 win against Crestline on the 5th.
