Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Chillicothe Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Lafayette was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Chillicothe's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-21.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Chillicothe, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lafayette will face off against rival Bishop LeBlond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chillicothe is set to take on their familiar foe Savannah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
