Softball Recap: Serena Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

While Serena put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Earlville. The Huskers blew past the Red Raiders 15-0. Considering the Huskers have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Serena got a massive performance out of RayElle Brennan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave Brennan a new career-high. Anna Hjerpe also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Serena's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Earlville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Serena will face off against Dwight at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Earlville, they will challenge Somonauk at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
