Serena got a massive performance out of RayElle Brennan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave Brennan a new career-high. Anna Hjerpe also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Serena's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Earlville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Looking ahead, Serena will face off against Dwight at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Earlville, they will challenge Somonauk at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
